Rappler's Maria Ressa says she receives rape threats 90 times a minute
The website Asian Policy shared a post by journalist Jojo Robles, sharing an interview with Rappler CEO and founder Maria Ressa, who said that she has been receiving rape threats at a rate of 90 per hour.

The interview was in a local station in Canada and Ressa said that the threats were coming from sexy star turned Movie and Television Review and Classification Board member and her "Die Hard Duterte Supporters".

"You look at anyone who says anything against the killings, against the drug war, especially if they are women, they will get clobbered on social media," she explained.

"They are threatened with death, with rape. You name it, it's happened."

Ressa cited that she herself experienced the same threats after Rappler published a series called "Weaponizing the internet,"

"An average of 90 hate messages an hour," Ressa said. "That's what I dealt with for a month," Ressa said in an article of Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Ressa also said that being anti-President Rodrigo Duterte is "hard" nowadays.

Asian Policy called Ressa's Rappler a "propaganda machine masquerading as a social  news network. Rappler  and its legions of filthy writers have been publishing propaganda write ups to destabilize President Duterte and his government.

It can be recalled that Ressa last year said that it was "time to take back the internet."

Ressa also released a series of write ups called "Propaganda Wars" which expounded on trolls and claimed that these "DDS" members in support of the Mocha Uson blog were not all real.
